Description
The mackerel or blue mackerel, as it was called in the past, was once present, in huge shoals, at the mouths of the great river, accompanying it on its "Danube mackerel" route, in the nuptial march at the beginning of spring.
By cold smoking, the method attributed to the Russian-Lipovian fishermen, the blue mackerel aimed for the first place among the lost delicacies of the Delta.
